Two Ways To DOUBLE Your Sales

Doubling your business is actually more simple than you may think. In this episode I break it down to the TWO ways you can make it happen.

Double the Traffic [0:44]

This came from two separate Facebook posts in our Connect Community from two women, Christie Hawkins and Kasey Hope. They are gearing up for the next launch of their membership programs, and they were talking about the difference they have coming into this launch versus past launches. They’ve got more momentum and more engagement in their groups. And they are experimenting and spending a little bit more on their Facebook ads which is bringing them great conversions for less than $0.50 apiece.

Both of them made comments in their posts saying that they’re really hoping to double their previous launch, and that they felt that they stood a chance to do that. I told them that there’s really only two ways they can double their launch. They both had ad campaigns that are working really well, and so I reminded them that the first way to double their launch is to double the amount of traffic coming in. If all things stayed the same, and you doubled the amount of traffic, you would double the amount of sales.

Double the Conversions [2:44]

The second way to double the business or double sales is to double the conversion which can happen in a number of different areas. If all things stayed the same, and you doubled your opt-in conversion, you would double the amount of sales. Just like one of the split tests we did during our $5 million launch last year, where the only thing we were split testing was the opt-in page. We knew if we could tweak that one page and improve conversions, we could have a significant ripple effect on everything else in the business. And we did. But there are many different conversion points – the opt-in page, the sales page, the checkout page, or even the webinar. If you can double the conversion, you can double the sales.

Keep it Simple [4:31]

So, with both of these women, who have got a great traffic source that’s converting great, and who have consistently done successful launches, all I suggested them to do is increase their ad budget. You have to keep an eye on it because with ads, conversions aren’t always going to stay consistent. This is one of those situations where it doesn’t take rocket science to realize that business can be simple if you keep it simple. There are so many fancy tools, platforms and strategies that are coming down the pipeline. But if all you did was increase traffic or increase conversions, everything else would take care of itself.

The Importance of Retention [6:36]

Here’s a little bonus tip. What would happen if you increased both? For those of us who have a membership or subscription, do you want to know the other big leverage point of increasing overall profitability of your business? Retention. Those are the three big areas: increase traffic, increase conversions, increase retention. If you dial in any of those or a combination of those, you can exponentially grow the business. Business does not have to be complicated. If you’ve got a system that’s working, where you’re putting $1 in and you’re getting $2 back, you want to crank that up as much as possible because that is how you scale.
