People want to learn, but they don’t want to spend the time sifting through the millions of pieces of conflicting free information that’s out there. What they want to do is go straight to a single source where they don’t have to worry about trying to piece it all together. They want it to be clearly laid out in one convenient location. The research shows that people are willing to pay for that and are ready to pay for it, right now! 

Long-term Results for Your Clients [06:014] 

I’m not referring to long-term results for you. I’m referring to the long-term results for the people who you’re helping. This oftentimes gets overlooked, but with a membership site, because it’s a long-term relationship, we are helping people much more in the implementation of what they’re learning, versus just learning. 

So, there’s this balance in a membership site of teaching people so they’re learning, and then supporting them so they’re doing. It’s the balance between learn and do which helps your members make amazing progress. If you don’t have that space to be able to help people in the doing part of it, they’ll never make that kind of progress. 

Where a course teaches people what to do and how to do it, a membership site supports people in implementing it. They go together hand in hand. 

It’s a Compounding Asset in Your Business [09:40] 

What do I mean by a compounding asset? When you add new members, it’s not a one-time sale. When you add people to a membership, those are people who have a much higher lifetime value. Why? Because when you’re helping them get results, they’re not going to want to leave. So a membership becomes a compounding asset. One month turns into two, which turns into three, and so on. We have people in our TRIBE where their members stay on for years. 

Every new member builds the community. It’s not like you hit the reset button every single month. With a membership, you build on the sales that you’ve already generated. And yes, you will lose some members month-to-month, but the point is, you’re not starting from scratch.
